Henry Huynh Huynh-1 Ms.Wallace Ap English Lit B1 8 November 2015 The Difference Between Hamlet and Laertes The story that Shakespeare wrote called the Hamlet referring to the old story Amleth that of the actual Story of Denmark. Pinpointing the main facts that Hamlet and Laertes were supposed to have the same faith as they are both young that fit the role of being a hero as well with the main antagonist Claudius. Hamlet’s Father died by the poison in the drink that was caused by Claudius who poison the drink and wanting to be the king’s wife and also King of Denmark. This also happens to Laertes s father as well on how Hamlet struck the sword into Polonius chest making Laertes notice later on the story that he has to avenge his father as how Hamlet doing the same on Claudius. Each of the characters has the personalities that stated ‘the heart-ache’ when Ophelia died: the tragic hero Hamlet and Laertes suffer Ophelia death but however one of the hero mention just forget about her we will mourn her death later on. What they both have in common is that both of their father died and having the exact same revenge on Claudius.
